The Circulatory System of Plants

Objectives
You will be able to:
* state that water and mineral salts is transported from the roots to the leaves by the xylem tubes.
* state that food is transported from the leaves to all parts of the plant by the phloem tubes.

Activity 1 - 15 minutes
You already know that Plants make their own food; or do you?

Let's do a check.
Together with your partner or group members. count 1, 2, 3.....and then say out the word that enables the plants to make food. Hint hint, it starts with the letter 'P'

Tubes for Transporting
Have you wondered how the food that is produced is being transported around the plant?
